Projects

Fish and invertebrate communities in south-western Australian estuaries

Honours projects are available in the Centre for Fish and Fisheries Research which are aimed at investigating spatial and temporal differences in the fish and invertebrate fauna in a range of estuaries in the south-western Australia, including the Wellstead Estuary, Wilson Inlet and Broke Inlet. These projects are focused on investigating either (i) the relationships between fish/invertebrate communities and habitat types, and how they change among seasons, or (ii) the detailed biology of key fish species that are targeted by recreational and commercial fishers, such as King George whiting.
