This course, designed for professionals working in the legal system, provides practical understanding of scientific method and fundamentals of forensic science. It assumes no scientific knowledge, although those comfortable with science will also find the course rewarding. The content includes an introduction to forensics (scientific method, reports, expert evidence, crime scene investigation), the human body (pathology, entomology, blood stain pattern analysis), DNA, trace evidence (ballistics, hair, fingerprints, paint), toxicology (drugs), psychology and psychiatry (risk prediction, interrogation, jury advocacy and eyewitness testimony).
