This course is designed to provide advanced training in the use of recent technological developments in agricultural biotechnology. The major topics covered include molecular mapping for diagnostics, high-throughput genetic analysis and proteomics. A research project provides students with the opportunity to develop and apply acquired skills in areas such as plant breeding, crop protection, animal production and pathogen and disease diagnostics.
